Memorial Day | Photo Barrage

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!! Dust off the grille and polish up your cooking skills because the sun is out and so are the good times.  Today we have a special treat and a guest photographer to help celebrate Memorial Day with us. Ritchie Hann, a good friend of LACS, has a selection of photos from a recent Cars & Coffee trip that he has donated.

So go out there and have a great Holiday weekend with friends and family. Go to a car show if you have the chance and in the meantime, enjoy a few beautiful classic and modern cars courtesy of RH and LACS. Cheers!  ♦ ♦♦♦ ♦

1987 BMW M5

Hello all.  Spotted this lovely BMW M5 that looks like a street car, prepped for racing.  Fitted with a roll cage and some sticky tires, this thing looks ready to attack any track. This was parked near a BMW specific auto garage and tuning garage around Silverlake. They always have awesome cars parked near their place and it’s a great place to go car spotting! Enjoy.

And check out some other cool BMW’s we’ve spotted before:

February 19′ – End of Month Hodgepodge

Hey all,

The show I have been working on so feverishly is now finally complete (except for one more week this month of pick-up shots).  Needless to say, LACS has been neglected. Here to start off the month of March is February’s hodgepodge – a bit delayed but here none-the-less. We have some trucks, van, a classic mustang, Chevy nova and a nice E30 BMW. Enjoy

1997 BMW M3 Coupe

Ahhh, the venerable E36 BMW M3, what can I say about it.  Touted as one of the best all-around performance coupe/sedans of the time, the E36 M3 has a devout and large following of admirers and enthusiasts alike. Enjoy this white e36 M3 coupe that looks to be fairly stock and in good condition.

And check out other M3’s we’ve spotted:

1972 BMW Bavaria (E3)

August – End of Month Hodgepodge

As is usual for the end of the month, we post pictures of the vehicles that did not make the cut for a full feature.  To be honest, there were not many this month but none-the-less, let the hodgepodge commence.

1980 Porsche 924 Turbo

Spotted this very clean Porsche 924 Turbo at the grocery store parking lot the other day.  The 924 is a really cool example of VAG stretching it’s legs outside of the 911 market.  There were roughly 15,000 of these made worldwide and given the less than stellar reliability of these cars, I’m sure more than a few have found their way to the pick-n-pull yards.  It was dark out and I only had my phone with me so the pics are not great!

July – End of Month Hodgepodge

Here we are, at the end of (ahmmm, actually the beginning) of another wonderful month of car spotting.  This past month brought us some interesting vehicles; including a BMW Z8, a slew of Italian cars, 1 Volvo and a 80’s Dodge Ram Prospector!  To cap it off, here is the July Hodgepodge of vehicles that didn’t quite make it for a feature post.  Cheers

The End of (Last) Month Hodgepodge

Work Work Work… That is all I have been doing lately.  Working non-stop does not leave enough time for spotting cars!  Well here is the Hodgepodge that was suppose to go up May 31st.  Better late than never I say.

1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 2

Superbly clean 1989 Porsche Carrera 2 spotted in Beverly Hills.  I like most generations of the Porsche 911, except maybe the 996 model from 1999-2004 (for looks alone). This one has been retrofitted with projector headlights and aftermarket rims, which both fit the car well.  It is hard to describe the paint color, which was stunning in person.

End of March – Hodgepodge

It’s that time of the month again… where LACS rounds up the reject photos that didn’t make it to a full-on blog post.  Usually, a LA Car Spotting post will arrive to your divine sleepy eyes in the morning, to brighten up your day, but tonight… it shall appear before you to to liven your night!  Tonight, I write the hodgepodge and sip a cheap imported beer from Germany, a Henninger Lager to be exact. Prost!

January 2018 Hodgepodge

The first end of month hodgepodge of 2018 and it is … well… not much.  I didn’t have a chance to get out and go spotting much this month with work consuming all but 1 week this month. Enjoy
