1976 Chevrolet Corvette (C3)

Take a look at this flat black 1976 Corvette C3 that I spotted.  This vette looks to still have the original rims installed and is sporting a custom chrome side exhaust, that really pops against the subdued flat black paint. Enjoy.

And check out other Corvette’s we’ve spotted:

1965 Chevrolet C-10 Pickup

Spotted this lovely mid 1960’s Chevy C/K series pickup truck street parked in a quiet neighborhood of Los Feliz. It appears that the truck has had some body work recently performed. Perhaps the next step is the paint! Regardless of paint, you cannot help but be drawn in by the sheet metal and the classic styling from General Motors in the 1960’s. Enjoy!

1982 Chevrolet Silverado C10 Pickup

Hello.  Spotted recently around Los Angeles is this 1982 Chevy C10 pickup with a hard top cap.  This C/K truck still proudly displays it’s 4×4 badge is clearly on the fender. This one caught my eye because it appears to be in great condition – sporting a nice red paint job and even the chrome is still shining bright! Enjoy

October ’18 – End of Month Hodgepodge

Happy end of October! Another month has concluded and with it, the LACS hodgepodge makes it’s appearance.  Yet again, this one is light because of the wedding.

This month, we only posted 2 car spottings.  One was a 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo cloaked in black and sporting excellent chrome wheels; a perfect match. We also saw a 1970 Cadillac DeVille – man are those big cars.

Enjoy this and look forward to even more next month!

1970 Cadillac DeVille

Happy Labor Day everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your holiday, whether you get to relax with friends and family or if you have to work.

Spotted this beautiful Cadillac Sedan parked near Venice, CA.  I believe it is the DeVille model but it might also be the Fleetwood.  Let me know – how can one tell the difference?  It may lack the finish and polish of a restored version, but this Caddy still has flair and I love the body lines. Enjoy

Check out some other Cadillac’s we’ve spotted:

August – End of Month Hodgepodge

As is usual for the end of the month, we post pictures of the vehicles that did not make the cut for a full feature.  To be honest, there were not many this month but none-the-less, let the hodgepodge commence.

1982 Jeep CJ-7

Here, presented for you on wonderful dead-end street near the Los Angeles “River”, is a 1982 (maybe) Jeep CJ-7.  This is one of the last CJ style Jeep generations made, and a personal favorite of mine.  The CJ-7 still had the gusto and utilitarian looks of the CJ series with some “modern” touches.  It was also still powered by the AMC line of engines. Enjoy

And some other Jeep’s we’ve spotted:

Happy Independence Day

Hello and happy Independence Day – The day American’s celebrate the pillaging of land from…. I mean, a day American’s celebrate their independence from Great Britain.  We commence celebrations with cookouts, booze, bonding with friends and family, and massive amounts of fireworks. Here at LACS, we will celebrate with a throwback to some of our favorite classic American made cars we’ve spotted.

End of March – Hodgepodge

It’s that time of the month again… where LACS rounds up the reject photos that didn’t make it to a full-on blog post.  Usually, a LA Car Spotting post will arrive to your divine sleepy eyes in the morning, to brighten up your day, but tonight… it shall appear before you to to liven your night!  Tonight, I write the hodgepodge and sip a cheap imported beer from Germany, a Henninger Lager to be exact. Prost!

1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III (5th gen)

The venerable Lincoln Continental. First introduced in 1939, the Lincoln Continental is a luxury car from Ford intended to adapt European “continental” luxury style and sell to the masses in the USA.  With only a brief hiatus here and there, the Continental nameplate is still going strong today.

Lincoln had a slew of slogans used in their print ads which are just fantastic.  One says “Lincoln makes America’s most distinctive cars”.  That may be true, as the Lincoln continental design language usually stood out as something special, something different. Some other fun ad slogans:

  • “Uncommon luxury for the uncommon man”
  • “Modern living on the move”
  • “The Continental life is never out of date”

Enjoy these pics and don’t forget to check out the other Lincoln continental we spotted:
