Take a look at this flat black 1976 Corvette C3 that I spotted. This vette looks to still have the original rims installed and is sporting a custom chrome side exhaust, that really pops against the subdued flat black paint. Enjoy.

Happy Labor Day everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your holiday, whether you get to relax with friends and family or if you have to work.
Spotted this beautiful Cadillac Sedan parked near Venice, CA. I believe it is the DeVille model but it might also be the Fleetwood. Let me know – how can one tell the difference? It may lack the finish and polish of a restored version, but this Caddy still has flair and I love the body lines. Enjoy
Check out some other Cadillac’s we’ve spotted:
1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham
1967 Cadillac Sedan De Ville
1977 Cadillac DeVille Sedan
Welllll here is a street legal go cart if I’ve ever seen one. I would like to see a NA Miata and this car side by side for a size comparison. I’m always inspired to see an old Italian car like the Fiat or Alfa Romeo’s parked on the street.
The X 1/9 is one of my favorite Fiat vehicles and I think they are a bit underrated. Granted, they did have a parsley horsepower and torque rating but the design aesthetic and MR setup make for a perfect recipe. I have heard of people swapping in the venerable K20 Honda motor to give this thing some pep – would love to drive one. Enjoy
And don’t forget to check out some other Fiat’s we’ve spotted:
1981 Fiat 2000 Spider
1976 Fiat 124 Spider
Spotted this beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Impala Coupe in Venice, CA not long ago. It is sporting a 327 badge and draped in a deep blue. Apart from the missing trim piece along the waistline and the sizable dent above the rear wheel, this Impala looks to be in great shape aesthetically. I can only hope that the 327 V8 is equally as healthy to propel this beast down the road. Enjoy
And check out some other classic Chevy coupes:
1965 Chevy Chevelle SS (Malibu)
1973 Chevrolet Nova
1967 Chevy Nova SS w/ Blower
Spotted this very clean Porsche 924 Turbo at the grocery store parking lot the other day. The 924 is a really cool example of VAG stretching it’s legs outside of the 911 market. There were roughly 15,000 of these made worldwide and given the less than stellar reliability of these cars, I’m sure more than a few have found their way to the pick-n-pull yards. It was dark out and I only had my phone with me so the pics are not great!
Check out other great Porsche’s we’ve spotted:
1978 Porsche 911 SC
1968 Porsche 911T
1985 Porsche 911 Cabriolet
Check out this 1963 Ford Falcon Coupe spotted in Silverlake. I am a big fan of the Falcon model, especially the first generation such as this one. Did you know: The Falcon line was one of Ford’s first mass-produced vehicle that was a unibody design instead of a body on frame? Most interesting.
Check out other Falcon’s and Falcon variants we have spotted:
1961 Ford Falcon Coupe
Early 60’s Ford Ranchero
1963 Mercury Meteor Custom
Spotted a wonderfully bright yellow Toyota Corolla Coupe from the early 1980’s. Toyota decided to sadly switch to a FWD layout with the thrid generation of Corolla. None-the-less, it still sports the peppy 1.8L 4-cylinder motor and rocks a charming boxy sheet metal style.
Check out previous Toyota Corolla’s we have spotted:
1974 Toyota Corolla 1600 Deluxe (E30)
1980 Toyota Tercel Hatchback (basically a corolla 😉

Spotted this Chevrolet Corvette from 1975. A perfect time capsule of engineering, design and bravado from a bygone era. This Corvette is in beautiful shape and I would have taken a nice profile shot had there not been a plethora of cars zipping by. You see, I value my legs and the ability to walk. But I also value a profile shot of a beautiful 1975 Corvette…. Ahhh what a dilemma! Enjoy these pics.
The unofficial theme this week has been grungy, worn down cars here on LACS. Take for example this lovely 1980 Datsun 280ZX. This particular example of fine automotive engineering is the 10th Anniversary edition so it is a TRUE collectors car. Take note how it is parked up front in a “Clean Air” parking spot, as it justly deserves. The emission standards in 1980 were TOP notch.
Take my sarcasm with a grain of salt and have a great Valentines day (if you’re into that). Enjoy
Up for auction… umm errr… I mean up for your viewing pleasure is this classic Chevy Chevelle Sedan from approximately 1971. Not quite as attractive as its sibling, the sedan still holds a place in everyone’s memory. Bask in the mediocre glory of this classic early 70’s Chevelle Sedan.
Look at this beauty. This Camaro SS was parked in a dimly lit underground parking garage and my cell phone could not capture it fully! The Camaro SS was Chevy’s answer to the Mustang GT and man did they nail it. Even today, the two American automakers duke it out for the title of Americas best “pony car”. Which would you choose from this era, a Chevy Camaro SS or a Mustang GT?
And check out other Camaros we’ve spotted
1987 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc-Z
1968 Chevrolet Camaro 327
