November ’18 – End of Month Hodgepodge

Here we are again, the end of another month. It can only mean one thing… hodgepodge! Where I select all the random photos of vehicles that didn’t get a post to themselves this month. Enjoy.

1976 Chevrolet Corvette (C3)

Take a look at this flat black 1976 Corvette C3 that I spotted.  This vette looks to still have the original rims installed and is sporting a custom chrome side exhaust, that really pops against the subdued flat black paint. Enjoy.

And check out other Corvette’s we’ve spotted:

1975 Chevy Corvette

1973 Chevy Corvette Stingray (C3)

2012 Chevy Corvette ZR-1

1995 Isuzu Trooper

Good morning or evening or whatever time it is for you. Here we have a 1995 Isuzu Trooper – basically an SUV that everybody re-branded.  Take your pick: Acura, Chevrolet, Isuzu, Holden, Opel, Subaru, Vauxhall.  Yea yea, I know… most of them are GM products. But hey,  here is the 2nd Generation, US Market Isuzu Trooper. Enjoy

And check out this 1986 Isuzu Trooper II (1st Gen) we spotted a couple months ago.

1991 Mitsubishi Delica LS Van

Spotted this Mitsubishi Delica, referred to in North America as the Mitsubishi Wagon. Seriously, this van was not even given a proper name for the North American market, simply being called “Wagon”.  We spotted a 1990 Toyota Town Ace Royal Lounge (Diesel) in a previous post.  I like these funky Japanese vans from this era – they have a certain je ne sais quoi about them.

Enjoy.

1984 Toyota Celica Supra (Liftback)

Spotted another third generation (A60) Toyota Celica.  This one is not in as good of shape as the last 3rd Gen Celica that I spotted. This looks to be the GT-S version of the Celica, equipped with fender flares and 14 inch wheels indicative of the trim level.

Enjoy

1995 Bentley Continental R

Hello all. Take a gander at this posh example of luxury and power from the mid 1990’s.  Did you know that the Bentley Continental R such as this model is the first Bentley to feature a body not shared with a Rolls-Royce model since the S3 Continental of 1965.

This Bentley houses a 6.75 L turbocharged V8 under the hood, with an estimated 360hp and 500 lb-ft of torque! But this model was more than just a horsepower sled, it was about fine wood grain, fancy leather and opulence. Imagine what kind of power a 6.75L turbocharged V8 could produce with today’s engine technology.  Enjoy the pics!

1982 Chevrolet Silverado C10 Pickup

Hello.  Spotted recently around Los Angeles is this 1982 Chevy C10 pickup with a hard top cap.  This C/K truck still proudly displays it’s 4×4 badge is clearly on the fender. This one caught my eye because it appears to be in great condition – sporting a nice red paint job and even the chrome is still shining bright! Enjoy

October ’18 – End of Month Hodgepodge

Happy end of October! Another month has concluded and with it, the LACS hodgepodge makes it’s appearance.  Yet again, this one is light because of the wedding.

This month, we only posted 2 car spottings.  One was a 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo cloaked in black and sporting excellent chrome wheels; a perfect match. We also saw a 1970 Cadillac DeVille – man are those big cars.

Enjoy this and look forward to even more next month!

Marriage, Maui & a 1971 Porsche 912

Oh, hey there.  I didn’t notice you standing there, poking my shoulder and screaming at me, “When will you publish a new LA Car Spotting post?!?!”

The truth is, I’ve been busy getting married and honeymooning.  It takes a lot of planning and time to have a wedding ceremony and reception – especially if you do not have a wedding coordinator. But once the big day comes, it is all worth it. With so many friends and family members celebrating a joyous event with you, it’s unquestionably one of the best days.

Oh, the honeymoon was nice too.  Maui, HI – a slice of paradise.  And as we come full circle back to automobiles, we rented a 2 door Jeep Wrangler Sport to cruise around Maui.  It was a fun vehicle and sits way higher than I expected.  And what an off-roading vehicle it is, crushing obstacles such as gravel, dirt and small undulations with ease (/sarcasm – didn’t do any true off-roading)!  Also, Maui is Toyota Tacoma country. Holy cow (they have a lot of cows too), there were so many Tacoma’s of all generations I couldn’t keep track.

Coming back to write a LACS post seems so natural. I missed it and I apologize for the lapse in posts.  In November, I will try to do a post every other day to catch up!

Cheers

1972 Chevy Monte Carlo

Hello everyone and apologies for the hiatus.  Spotted this flat black 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo just yesterday around Hollywood.  I think the Monte Carlo is an underrated American classic that has great styling and poise. This one benefits from upgraded rims and tires, sporting appropriate white sidewall lettering. Enjoy

And check out some previous Chevy’s from this era:

1971 Chevy Monte Carlo (1st Gen)

1965 Chevy Chevelle SS (Malibu)

1973 Chevy Corvette Stingray (C3)

1970 Cadillac DeVille

Happy Labor Day everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your holiday, whether you get to relax with friends and family or if you have to work.

Spotted this beautiful Cadillac Sedan parked near Venice, CA.  I believe it is the DeVille model but it might also be the Fleetwood.  Let me know – how can one tell the difference?  It may lack the finish and polish of a restored version, but this Caddy still has flair and I love the body lines. Enjoy

Check out some other Cadillac’s we’ve spotted:

1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham

1967 Cadillac Sedan De Ville

1977 Cadillac DeVille Sedan
