Spotted this Mitsubishi Delica, referred to in North America as the Mitsubishi Wagon. Seriously, this van was not even given a proper name for the North American market, simply being called “Wagon”. We spotted a 1990 Toyota Town Ace Royal Lounge (Diesel) in a previous post. I like these funky Japanese vans from this era – they have a certain je ne sais quoi about them.

Hello and happy Independence Day – The day American’s celebrate the pillaging of land from…. I mean, a day American’s celebrate their independence from Great Britain. We commence celebrations with cookouts, booze, bonding with friends and family, and massive amounts of fireworks. Here at LACS, we will celebrate with a throwback to some of our favorite classic American made cars we’ve spotted.
Happy first 2018 post! Let’s start it off with a bang – and wow this thing is cool.
The 1990 (I think) Toyota Town Ace. Not just any Town Ace, this is the “Royal Lounge”. Please somebody tell me there is a better named trim level out there. “Royal Lounge” exudes excellence and luxury… I mean just look at this van! And it’s 4WD!! And it’s a diesel!!! This van is all combinations of right.
I am fairly confident this is an imported model which makes it even cooler. Although I spotted this in Los Angeles, it is rocking Oregon plates. People will often register imports in other states because it is so difficult to register a imported vehicle in California. Enjoy!
Here we have another VW type 2 Bus in a beautifully stunning orange paint job. These vehicles are extremely popular among road travelers and vacationers for their roomy and comfortable interiors. Enjoy.
See our past posts of VW Buses with more information and pictures.
